Forensic evidence goes to lab for analysis in quadruple homicide investigation

Police detectives continue to diligently investigate the quadruple homicide that took place on October 9 in Paris.

Police Department Car_sliderThe bodies of Devante Laray Akins, Billy Charles Carey, Romello Dewain Steward, and Brijonne Rashad Woods were found inside a residence at 435 NE 6th Street by Paris police officers just before midnight.

Autopsy reports showed that all four victims had died as a result of gunshot wounds.

As this investigation continues, the department continues to urge the public to call with information concerning this case that has shocked our community.

“We have had some people come forward with information and a few CrimeStoppers tips, but nothing that has really shed light on what took place that we don’t already know,” Police Chief Bob Hundley said.

“We do have forensic evidence going to labs for analysis,” the chief said.
