The Prairiland Lady Patriots took on Rivercrest last week. The 7th grade B team won their game 19-2. Leading scorers for the 7B team were Savannah Moore, Morgan Harris, and Sierra Warner who had 5, 4 and 4 points respectively. Alyssia McCormick, Kayleigh Potter, and Chesney Baker each had 2 points.
Despite missing a starter due to illness, the 7th grade A team still won their game 24-21. A strong second half was the difference for the Patriots. Shacoya Dennis was a key spark and led the way both offensively and defensively with 10 points and several steals. Kayla Spray had 5 points, Skyler Kelly had 4, Keagan Maroney had 3 points, and Alexis Williams chipped in with 2 points.
The 8th grade B team won their game 12-10. Leading scorers for the 8B team were Shelby Spears and Madison Cannedy who each had 3 points. Carsyn Fernandez, Kayleigh Potter, and Makali Moore each added 2 points a piece. The win improved the girls record to 3-0.
The 8th grade A team fell to the Lady Rebels 40-19. Jessica Rocha and Erin Butler lead the way offensively for the 8A team with 5 points a piece. Ashton Torres, Stephi Fontenot, and Alyssa Harris scored 4, 3, and 2 points respectively.
