The Paris Golf and Country Club announced Saturday that the golf course will be closed until further notice due to ice storm damage.
Debris on the course itself, along with hanging limbs in the trees pose as a liability and danger if they should fall.
Club officials called for a member work day on Saturday morning from 6:30-10:30 a.m. to help pick up the debris.
Until the course is re-opened, PGCC has advised members that they have contacted the Idabel Country Club, The Ranch in Texarkana and the Mt. Pleasant Country Club and arranged with all three courses for PGCC members to have the opportunity to play at these courses for only a $15.00 cart fee.
Members should call in advance to arrange tee times.
The Pro Shop at the club is still open and is offering special Christmas sales, including Pro V1 golf balls for $40.00 per dozen and 50% off all apparel. The restaurant will remain open during its regular hours.
