As the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office investigates the aggravated robbery of two ladies that occurred on January 16 in the East Post Oak community, a composite sketch and description of the suspect has led to a ‘person of high interest’ in the case, according to Lamar County Sheriff Scott Cass.

The sheriff’s office sent the sketch and description to local news media and surrounding law enforcement agencies in an attempt to gain the identity of the suspect or suspects involved in the robbery case and now have a lead.
Paris PD Officer Josh Crawford contacted the sheriff’s office to tell detectives that he was currently investigating some recent criminal offenses in the Paris area, and the suspect in those cases fit the description of the person being sought in connection with the robbery in the East Post Oak community, according to the sheriff.
“Sheriff detectives have gained further information regarding this person, who is now a person of high interest in the robbery in the East Post Oak community,” Sheriff Cass said. “There have been no arrests made in robbery case to date and the investigation is ongoing.”
Anyone with information regarding the robbery is still encouraged to contact the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office at 903-737-2400 or Crime Stoppers at 903-785-TIPS (8477).
