Obituaries Thursday, March 6

Dad 001Lynn Broadway, 51, of Sumner, was released from this life on Tuesday March 4, 2014 after a valiant and hard battle, and awakened to a new and perfect life. Starrett Funeral Home will conduct graveside rites at 2:00 p.m. Saturday March 7, 2014 at Hopewell Cemetery, with Rev. Tiny Freelen officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Lynn was born August 30, 1962 in Paris, the son of Robert and Delana Hutchings Broadway. He was a graduate of Paris High School, and was employed by Kimberly Clark. He was an avid bowler, and enjoyed sharing the sport with others through the Pro Shop at Paris Lanes.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Delana Broadway on April 10, 2008.

Lynn is survived by two sons, Bradley Broadway, of Arlington and Brandon Broadway, of Sumner; his father, Robert Broadway, of Sumner; the mother of his sons, Dina Broadway, of Reno; and his  companion and confidante, Teresa Allen, of Reno.

Named as pallbearers are Gary Wideman, Cole Smallwood, Gary Goss, John Goss, Pat Bright, and Norman Clem.

Mary L. Massey, 85, of Paris passed away Monday, March 3, 3014 in Brentwood Terrace. Cremation arrangements were made by Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.  A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the First Assembly of God church with Bro. Bryan Peck officiating.
