Paris Junior College Board of Regents, teachers and staff introduced the public to the new addition of their growing campus on Thursday with a ceremonial Ribbon Cutting and an Open House tour following.
PJC President, Dr. Pam Anglin, spoke about the benefits the building will bring to the students and the staff, while introducing many key figures in the completion of the project, such as members from architecture firm, SHW Group, who designed the building, and construction managing company, Balfour Beatty.
This $10.5 million investment to the PJC campus is 42,000 square feet, holding 15 new classrooms, a 120-seat meeting room, two science prep rooms, 16 offices, three interactive television rooms, science labs and a math center.
The PJC Board of Regents President, Curtis Fendley, cut the ribbon, officially opening the new Math & Science Building. A large crowd of locals then toured the facility, while PJC teachers and staff answered questions in each area.
