The Paris Downtown Association, Paris Main Street and the Lamar County Chamber of Commerce hosted their first performance of a concert series called ‘Music on Main’, where local artists will perform on Saturdays during the summer on the Plaza fountain downtown.
The complete lineup has not been confirmed, but the inaugural performance on Saturday featured local jam band, The Draggin’ Man Band, although the set was an acoustic performance and featured only three of the four members.
The true Texas jam band performed a variety of musical styles, such as singer/songwriter, folk, blues and funk style, along with many obscure covers from bands like The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Ryan Adams, The Avett Brothers, Fred Eaglesmith, The Beatles, Josh Ritter, The Grateful Dead, The Black Crowes and more.
The band has gained a large and loyal hometown following, as well as a growing social media presence, with over 2100 Facebook likes.

The Draggin’ Man Band is made up of Paris locals Max Jones, Connor Pickle, Jay McKee, and eParisExtra’s own managing editor, myself, Josh.
The only other local artist that has confirmed a performance for ‘Music on Main’ is hometown favorite, Michael O’Neal, who will play on the Saturday during the Antique Fair.
