Police investigate downtown window shootings, Paris PD Press Release – December 13

Paris Police are investigating several incidents where storefront windows in the downtown area were shot.

One victim advised that he heard a loud bang and then found that his storefront window had what appeared to be a bullet hole in it, according to Paris Police Public Information Officer Curtis Garrett.

The incidents are under investigation.

On December 12, 2012 Paris Police responded to the 200 block of SE 16th St where it was reported that an unknown male had approached and pointed a shotgun at the complainant’s vehicle.

The male made a statement about shooting someone to the driver.  He then returned into a residence where he discarded the gun and left the scene on foot. The incident is under investigation.

43 year old Craig Linder, of Minnesota, was arrested after it was reported that Linder was drivng a large pick-up and had damaged property at a drive-thru window of a local restaurant in the 3300 block of Lamar Ave.  Officers determined that Linder was intoxicated and charged him with Driving While Intoxicated.

Dominic Armstrong, of Paris, was arrested on warrants for Possession of Marijauna and Possession of a Controlled Substance after an investigation where these substances were found in her residence.  Armstrong was booked at the Police Department and then transferred to the Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police Officers responded to 77 calls for service on December 12, 2012.
