Obituaries Tuesday, February 5

Perry 2012-01Robert Perry Hanley, 73, of Paris, passed away Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at Paris Regional Medical Center.

Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 7th, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Bro. Patrick Cannon officiating. Burial will follow in Union Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Hanley, the son of Carl & Mittie Locke Hanley, was born March 12, 1939, in Lamar County. He has owned & operated Hanley Furniture since 1974. He was a member of Lamar Avenue Church of Christ and the Paris Masonic Lodge where he was Past Master and Past District Deputy Grand Master.

On Feb. 16, 1957, he married Geneva Jones, building fifty years of family and memories before her death on Nov. 24, 2007.

His parents, a brother, Carl Hanley and a sister, Irene Nation, preceded him in death.

Survivors include two sons, James Carl Hanley & wife Kim and Perry Wayne Hanley all of Paris, two brothers, Dee Carrington of Paris and James C. Hanley of Longview, three sisters, Jane Barnard of Johntown, Linda Hostetler of Paris and Faye Hanley of Paris, four grandchildren, Matt Hanley & wife Allison, Clay Hanley, Jesse Woods and Andy Hanley along with several nieces & nephews and a plethora of friends.

Casket bearers will be: Ed McEntyre, Tommy Sikes, Brett Jones, Jimmy Jones, Joey Martin & Murray Riddles.
