Cecil Flournoy, 88, of Paris, passed away Monday, February 4, 2013 at Paris Regional Medical Center.
His service will be held at Leesville Baptist Church on Thursday, February 7, 2013, at 10:30 A.M. with Pastor Jimmy Ellis and Bill Felts officiating. Burial will be in Leesville Cemetery with military honors provided by the U.S. Army Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home.
Mr. Flournoy was born in San Augustine, TX on June 28, 1924 to Daniel Lester Flournoy and Bessie Tinsley Flournoy Goings.
On March 28, 1942, he married Janice Gaynell Singleton in Bullock County, Alabama building 70 years of happy memories.
He was a Certified Master Watchmaker and Gemologist and was in the Air Force 509th Composite Group during World War II. He was a member of EastParisBaptistChurch and former member of LeesvilleBaptistChurch.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Janice of the home, daughters, Jane Baugh and Linda Hendricks of Paris, son David Flournoy and wife Judy of Waxahachie, brother, Van Flournoy and wife Ruth of Wills Point, and sisters, Frances Luck of Paris and Mary Blakely of Linden; grandchildren Gary Hendricks, Bobby Hendricks and wife Sylvia, Randy Hendricks and wife Mary Nell, Jeff Hendricks and wife Lorie, Chris Baugh, Keith Middleton, Tommy Flournoy and wife Steffanie and Tammy Wilson and husband Jason; great grandchildren Teresa Soderholm and husband Lloyd, Michael Middleton, Kevin Baugh and wife Ashlee, Tanner Middleton, Lydia, Emily, Scott, Donald, Jeffrey, Corey, Kayla, and Nathanael Hendricks, Ashley, Amber, Autumn and Tommy Cecil Flournoy; great-great grandchildren Addisyn Middleton, Alex Baugh, Chloe Soderholm, Elizabeth, Abigail, and Leah Anne Hendricks.

Berry “Joe” Burris, 66, of Paris, died at 8:35 PM, Monday, February 4, 2013 at ParisRegionalMedicalCenter – North. A memorial service is set for 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the Red River Valley Fair Association Community Exhibit Building “B”. At Joe’s request, his faithful companion, “Peanut” will be cremated along with him. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of cremation arrangements.
Joe was born January 26, 1947 to Elmaudie Hensley and Montie Dink Karr. He was a roofer by trade and member of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his children, Tresa Kay Bailey, Melissa Kay Burris, Shelia Gail Cloud, Montie Jo Motes, Larry Joe Burris, Lois Jean Burris, Susan Beth Barnett, Donna Wynette Dake, Donnie Wayne Humphrey, and John Paul Humphrey; grandchildren, Ryandal Gilmore, Cassie Percy, Wren Gilmore, Tina Ralson, Randi Kerby, Brittani Bogle, Jonathan Bogle, Jordan Watson, Brandon Cloud, Kyle Cloud, Shania Cloud, Andy Motes, Alisha Motes, Charla Motes, Megan Motes, Christopher Motes, Kaytlin Engles, Levi Ethan Burris, Dakota Joe Burris, Dylan Dake, Jacob Dake, Emily Dake, Angelicca Humphrey, Jaime Humphrey, Savanaha Humphrey, Katelynn Humphrey, and Kaden Humphrey; twenty-two great-grandchildren; siblings, Margarette Beatrice Cooper, Michael Webster Burris, Larry Gene Burris, Susie Eula May Seminole, Geneva Fredieu, and Haskell Karr; and his healthcare provider and dear friend, Margie Alexander. He was preceded in death by his parents, Montie Dink Karr and Elmaudie Hensley Potts; and six siblings, Willie Mary Winters, Leon Eugene Burris, Shirley Ann Ray, Lorenzo Isaac Burris, Linda Diane Carter, and Henry Karr.
