Paris ISD students competed at the Region 8 Science Fair in Pittsburg on February 12th. The winners will advance to the East Texas Regional Science Fair (ETRSF) on March 1st at Kilgore College.
Winners of the ETRSF in grades 6-12 are eligible to participate in the ExxonMobil Texas Science & Engineering Fair in San Antonio, March 26-29.
Each of these students took top honors in their categories for theirs respective grades. From the left (front row): Logan Gilbert (5th grade) placed 2nd in Physical/Chemical, Madeline Petrikas (5th grade) won 1st in Biology, and Garcia Hernandez (4th grade) placed 2nd in Biology. On back: Kiersten Ward (8th grade) placed 2nd in Inventions, Zain Syed (7th grade) placed 2nd in Biology, Sahil Prakash (6th grade) placed 1st in Biology, and Asher Andoe (6th grade) placed 2nd in Physical/Chemical.
