After presenting research projects at the Kilgore Regional Science Fair on March 1, two North Lamar students received awards.
Grant Erickson and Olivia Stankus, both freshmen, were awarded certificates and medals from the Army and Navy as well as the National Oceanic and Environmental organizations.
Stankus will go on to compete at the Exxon Mobile State Science and Engineering Fair in San Antonio on March 26 after placing sixth at Kilgore.
