North Lamar GT students present India

image006After studying about India, Everett Elementary Gifted and Talented students put on a presentation for students and guests.  Parent, Sharmila Franklin who is from India, donated sari cloths for the girls’ costumes, Indian foods and spices, and music for the event.   The third grade classes that visited the presentation were each given an Indian rupee coin as a souvenir.

The second grade GT students decorated the hall for the India Pushkar Camel Festival and held a camel beauty contest for visitors to vote for their favorite camel which they had created.
