At 10:40 P.M. on April 04, 56-year-old Patricia Ann Fisher, of Paris, was arrested in the 2800 block of N Main Street for driving while intoxicated, after she was observed by an officer swerving the vehicle and leaving the roadway, according to Paris Police spokesperson Curtis Garrett.
The officer reported that the vehicle swerved back onto the roadway and was almost struck by a large truck. Once the vehicle stopped, Fisher was observed to be intoxicated.
While being secured with handcuffs, she removed a medicine bottle from her pocket and advised the officer that she was also in possession of marijuana, according to Garrett.
Fisher was charged with Driving While Intoxicated with two priors, making this a 3rd degree felony, and possession of marijuana.
Paris Police responded to 113 calls for service and arrested 6 persons on Thursday, April 04. Of the 113 calls, 2 thefts, 2 burglary of residences, 1 disturbance and 1 forgery were reported to Police.
