A Paris woman was arrested on Monday, after Paris Police officers found her to be in possession of a large amount of marijuana, estimated to be worth almost $3000, according to Paris PD Public Information Officer Curtis Garrett.
On Monday, June 3rd, Paris Police investigators arrested 43-year-old Minette Lee Flanery at her residence on a warrant stemming from an investigation that was initiated in April, where Flanery was found to be in possession of over three and a half pounds of marijuana.
Flanery was booked at the Police Department and later transferred to the Lamar County Jail. Investigators estimated the value of the marijuana to be approximately $2,700.
At 5:38 P.M. on Monday, June 3rd, Paris Police responded to an accident involving injuries. Officers found that two vehicles were traveling northbound on FM 195 when the lead vehciel stopped to make a left turn into The Hills Addition. The second vehicle collided into the back of the first vehicle.
There were three people transported to the local hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries. A fourth person sought medical treatment and was transported to the hospital by a private vehicle. According to the investigating officer, no charges are being filed at this time.
