Vacant home goes up in flames

A vacant home on NW 19th street was completely burned down on Tuesday afternoon, after firefighters fought for hours to extinguish the flame, according to Paris Fire Department Fire Marshal/Asst. Chief Dale Maberry.

The Paris Fire Department responded to a structure fire located at 3110 NW 19th street on Tuesday at around 1pm.

“The wood frame single family dwelling was believed to be vacant,” stated the Fire Marhsall.

The owner of the property lives out of town. Paris firefighters spent just under two hours extinguishing the fire. The structure was totally lost, but there were no reported injuries. The origin and cause is undetermined at this time.
