Paris Community Theatre has recently finished its new sign above the Brown Centre of the Creative Arts, receiving a 50 percent matching grant as part of Paris Main Street’s “BIG Grant” program.
“Back in July 2013, the Main Street board granted funds to PCT for new signage,” Main Street Coordinator Cheri Bedford said. “The sign looks great.”
The grant was specifically for the sign at the Brown Centre of the Creative Arts, located at 115 Clarksville St.
“This building was donated to PCT by Gary and Amy Brown and is used to house our Children and Teen Theatre classes, art classes and yoga classes,” PCT board member and Children’s Theatre Advisory Committee member, Jenny Wilson, said.
The building is also used for auditions, rehearsals and the upstairs contains all the theatre costumes and some furniture that is used as props in shows, according to Wilson.
