Jeana Hohenberger, 32, of Fort Worth, died at 6:15 PM, Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at her home. A graveside service is set for 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Allen’s Point Cemetery near Honey Grove with Steven Hohenberger and Jerry Moore officiating. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
Jeana Marie Hohenberger, daughter of Jackie Hohenberger and Lynette Saufferer died on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 in Fort Worth, Texas. Jeana was born in Longview, Texas on October 25, 1980. She attended school in Roxton and North Lamar, graduating from North Lamar in 1999. During her years at North Lamar, she was a Texas Scholar and excelled in cross country and track. She displayed a passion for the pursuit of knowledge as evidenced by her continued studies at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro and the University of Arknasas in Fayetteville.
Although her life was brief, Jeana left a deep impression on those of us who knew and loved her. She was energized by her passion to live for the Lord Jesus and study the Bible.
Jeana had several interests and endeavors that she enjoyed intensely. She especially liked cooking such food as desserts and breads; caring for the farm animals on her grandparents farm and also running. Her goal was to run 4 miles a day. Jeana loved to play baseball with her son, niece, nephews and cousins. These game times with the children provided a great deal of joy to her. These were extremely happy times for all of us.
Jeana was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer in September of 2012. Despite the pain and complications of the disease which she fought for almost a years, Jeana grew spiritually as she and her grandfather prayed and studied God’s Word over the phone. She centered most of her studies on the biblical passages that helped her to develop peace, joy and hope. She spent many hours memorizing scriptures such as Psalm 27:1-14; Romans 8:1-39 and Philippians 4:1-9.
In the latter stages of the disease, John 14:1-6 and Revelation 21:1-7 became her favorite scriptures. Toward the end of her earthly life, Jeana lived each day trusting Jesus’ promises: John 14:2-3 “…I go to prepare a place for you…, …if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself…: She left this world to go home with our Lord Jesus Christ with these words which came from the heart “I Love You” which she said repeatedly to her son, Luke; who was the light of her life and to the rest of her family. And so she passed on to God, carried in the arms of Jesus, safe and free, to eternal glory with Him.
Jeana is survived by her son, Luke Hohenberger; her mother, Lynette Saufferer; her father, Jackie Hohenberger; siblings, Steven Hohenberger and wife, Heather, Michelle Burks and husband, Kurt, and Cody Hohenberger; nephews, Trevin Hohenberger, Tannon Hohenberger, and Bryson Burks; niece, Maicey Burks; grandparents, Jerry and Kathy Moore; aunts and uncles, Jeannie and Phil Thompson, Erik and Kelli Moore, Mike and Pamela Moore, Kelly and Bill Powledge, and Jeremy Moore; cousins, Ami and Ben Hurst, Ryan and Molly Thompson, Lindsay Thompson and fiancé, Will Fisher, Josh and Jacob Moore, Marly Moore and fiancé, Martin Segura, and Amber Moore; and little cousins that she loved so much, Hayden , Laney and Maggie Hurst.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Betty Jean Moore and Walter and Gwendolyn Hohenberger.

Virginia Ruth Summers Kennemer, 79, of Paris, entered heavens gates on Wednesday, August 28, 2013. She was looking forward to heaven so Jesus could give her a hug and wipe away her tears and pain.
Starrett Funeral Home will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. on Saturday August 31, 2013 at Bethel Temple Church, 1315 S.E. Loop 286, with pastors Ralph and Virginia Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Gardens, with a luncheon to follow.
The body will lie in repose at the church for one hour prior to the service, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
Mom loved to read and paint but was happiest being with her children and grandchildren. She was an awesome mom and Nana; the best. She delighted in her grandchildren, who caused her smile to shine the most. She was always sweet, kind, and encouraging. She will be missed by friends and family but we released her to the care of sweet Jesus in heaven. All of our love, all of our life.
She was preceded in death by parents, Cassie Carlton and Etta Summers; infants twin siblings, Ray and Faye Summers; sister, Violet Davis; brother, Jack Summers; and a loving husband, Roland Neal Kennemer.
She was a very loving mother of two daughters, Debra Gifford and husband, Kenny, and Susan Walker and husband, Bob; and a son, David Neal Kennemer. She was a very loved and adored grandmother of Kevin and Jenna Gifford, Jake Morgan, Alex and Ryne Walker, Haden Kennemer and Aaron Greer.
