Paris police and emergency medical services personnel responded to the Spanish Oaks Apartment Complex, located at 3125 Clarksville St., on Sunday evening to find a 29-year-old man who had been shot in the face area.
“Paris Police are still investigating this shooting that was reported at about 7:18 p.m. on Sunday,” Paris Police department spokesman Curtis Garrett said.
A care-flight helicopter — which had to land in the parking lot on the other side of Clarksville Street — flew Jajuan Rosheen Minter to a Dallas-area hospital to evaluate and treat his injuries.
According to a resident at Spanish Oaks, the man was shot on the eastern side of the apartment complex.
Alert and conscious, the victim advised officers that he did not know who had shot him, Garrett said.
Officers found that the victim had received multiple gunshot wounds, but after receiving treatment he was released.
With little details from the victim about the shooter, Paris police continue to investigate this shooting and encourage anyone that has any information regarding this case to call the Paris police department at 903.784.6688.
