Sabrina Rosson
Sabrina Rosson, Aikin Elementary Assistant Principal, was named Educator of the Year by the Red River Valley Down Syndrome Society. Experience, teaching philosophy, and educational, professional and community involvement are the criteria considered for the award.
Rosson was selected based on her unique ability to make sure all children feel included and respect themselves no matter what their disability.
“Whatever Sabrina does, she does thoroughly, taking care of even the smallest detail,” stated Aikin Principal Pat Gilbert. ”Her stamp of quality is on everything — especially in the area of inclusion, intervention and special education. Her heart for students’ special needs is well-known district-wide, and she has been active in bringing many very effective programs to Paris ISD for students with special needs.”
