Emergency personnel were called to a vehicle collision on Wednesday afternoon, involving a motorcycle and single car, that injured one who required a care-flight for medical attention, according to Paris PD Public Information Officer Curtis Garrett.
At 4:23pm, Paris Police, Fire and EMS were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident in the 1900 block of Clarksville Street. Witnesses told police that a motorcycle was eastbound following a vehicle that had stopped in the roadway to allow another vehicle to exit a private drive of a business to turn westbound.
The motorcycle moved into the left turn lane to go around the stopped vehicle and collided into the vehicle exiting the private drive.
According to officers on the scene, the driver of the motorcycle sustained what appeared to be a head injury and awaited an Eagle Med helicopter to be flown to a hospital.
