Lamar Soil & Water Poster Winners named at North Lamar

Seven students from North Lamar Independent School District were winners of the Lamar Soil & Water Conservation District Poster and Essay contest.  LSWCD Director, Mike Parsons, awarded the students checks at their campuses.

In the 1st – 3rd grade poster category, Kenzie Pence (2nd grade) placed first, Bailey Scott (3rd grade) placed second, and Fernanda Pena (3rd grade) placed third.  All are students at Everett Elementary.

Poster winners in the 4th – 6th grade category at North Lamar are Jewelly Roberson (5th grade) who placed first and Cade Collard (6th grade) who place second.

Palmer Campbell placed first and Chazirae Canida placed second in the 13 and under essay category from Stone Middle School.  Both are in sixth grade.

The winners’ posters and essays have been submitted for judging at the regional level.
