April marks the beginning of Spring, and Paris Main Street volunteers have been busy planning several fun events to draw tourist and residents into our beautiful and historic downtown.
“The volunteers are excited about the 2013 spring and summer lineup of activities, and we hope you are too,” stated Main Street Coordinator Cheri Bedford. ”Everyone is working so hard to promote downtown business, history, and heritage.”
The Paris Main Street Design Committee is sponsoring a Spring Window Decorating Contest.
“Design committee volunteers have brainstormed this event to create a little friendly fun for the downtown business owners, as well as spice up downtown just in time for the April in Paris Wine Fest on April 12th,” Bedford continued. ”Peoples Bank has graciously offered to do a spring cleanup on the fountain & flowerbeds on March 22 & 23. Way to go Peoples!”

There is a panel of business professionals who volunteered to be judges. They reviewed the power point given by the Texas Historical Commission Design Architect at the visual merchandising seminar in January, as well as this contest criteria.
