The American Red Cross as recently launched its brand new, life-saving Tornado App! Some key features of this free app will include a ‘siren’ sound whenever there is an NOAA (National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration) tornado warning in your area, instant access to our ‘Safe & Well’ notification site, a wealth of interactive preparedness planning tools, as well as a very relieving ‘All-Clear’ message when the storm has passed.
“This app is especially important here across the tornado-prone Northeast Texas and Southwest Arkansas areas,” states American Red Cross, CFRE, Executive Director John Davis.
Being that the weather systems seem to get more volatile each year, and ‘tornado season’ just around the corner, it would be in all or our interests to get prepared in case disaster strikes.
