Ellen C. Stringfellow0001Ellen C. Stringfellow, 69, of Bagwell, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Dubuis Hospital. Services are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Reverend Jimmy Ellis and Mr. Tom Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in Bogata Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-7 pm, Tuesday at the funeral home.

Ellen was born November 27, 1943 in Cherry Valley, PA to Donald Frederick Couch and Kathryn Brewer Couch. She married Paul Lee “Buddy” Stringfellow and he passed away December 18, 2010. Ellen loved to travel and she loved riding horses. She was a Boy Scout Den Mother and for a period of time, she also worked for the Boy Scouts of America organization. Ellen was a member of the Leesville Baptist Church. She retired as the store manager of the Stage Department Store in Idabel, thus completing 30 plus years of employment with the Bealls/Stage Company.

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, “Buddy”, and one brother, George Couch. Survivors include a son, Roy Lee Kennemer, Jr. & wife Tricia of Bowie; a daughter, Mary Nell Hendricks & husband Randy of Bagwell; another son, Mark Stringfellow of Forney, another daughter, Paula Hibbard & husband Eddie of The Woodlands; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a brother, William Couch & wife Irene of PA; a sister-in-law, Ann Couch of Georgetown, DE; her mother-in-law, Dixie Stringfellow of Bogata; a special cousin, Susan Brewer of TN, along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Casket bearers will be Gary Hendricks, Tracy Williams, Boyd Harmening, Bobby Ray, Bill Janeway and Roger Edwards. Honorary Casket Bearers will be Noah Hibbard, Scott Hendricks and Donald Hendricks. In lieu of regular memorials the family requests memorials be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Fund.

Gary Sanders0001Gary L. Sanders, 67, of the Forest Chapel Community, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013, at his home.

Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 20th, at the Pavilion of Forest Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Bill Dickey officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 – 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Gary, the son of Richard C. & Ruth Mae Gay Sanders, was born Dec. 2, 1945, in DeQueen, Arkansas.

He served in the U. S. Marine Corp during the Vietnam Era. He was a carpenter and a member of the Carpenter’s Union. During his retirement years he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

His father and two brothers, R. C. Sanders & Eddy Sanders, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Huggins Sanders, whom he married in 1968, his mother, Ruth Mae Sanders, three sons, Edward Sanders of Forest Chapel, Joe Sanders & wife Janet of Paris and John Sanders & wife Cheryl of Reno, five grandchildren, Joseph, Jacie, Jonathan, Cameron & Kyleigh along with numerous extended family and  a host of friends.
